Effects of Climate Change

“30 per cent of the world’s population is exposed to deadly heat waves more than 20 days a year.”

– Cooling and Climate Change fact sheet, UNEP

“Increasing magnitudes of warming increase the likelihood of severe, pervasive, and irreversible impacts.”

– Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

Many of the world’s threatened species live in areas that will be severely affected by climate change. And climate change is happening too quickly for many species to adapt.

– World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)
